On May 26, 2026, ACME Solar Holdings Limited announced the signing of a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) for a 300 MW / 1,200 MWh ISTS-connected project.  

This agreement is a significant step in ACME Solar's commitment to expanding its renewable energy capacity. 

Details of the Power Purchase Agreement 

The PPA, executed through ACME Renewtech Sixth Private Limited, a subsidiary of ACME Solar, involves a contract capacity of 300 MW under the Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) Tranche VII.  

The project is scheduled to commence supply on May 28, 2028, and will run for 25 years from this date. The agreed tariff for the project is ₹6.28 per unit. 

Domestic Contract with SECI 

This domestic contract with SECI, a AAA-rated Central Government enterprise, is part of a broader initiative to enhance renewable energy infrastructure.  

The project will utilise ACME Solar's existing night-time connectivity in high irradiation zones, ensuring efficient energy supply during non-solar hours. 

Project Specifications and Capacity 

The project, awarded under SECI’s FDRE Tranche-VII tender, will supply 4 hours of assured peak power during non-solar hours, with a minimum annual availability requirement of 85%. This initiative is part of a larger portfolio, where ACME Solar has a total contracted capacity of 8,070 MW, with 6,570 MW already under PPA.

ACME Solar's Expanding Portfolio 

ACME Solar Holdings Limited is a prominent player in the renewable energy sector, with a diversified portfolio that includes solar, wind, storage, and hybrid solutions.  

The company has an operational contracted capacity of 2,990 MW and an under-construction capacity of 5,080 MW, including significant battery energy storage systems (BESS).
