ACME Solar Holdings Limited has announced that its subsidiary, ACME Eco Clean Energy Pvt Ltd, has successfully commissioned an additional 12 MW of its wind power project located in Surendranagar, Gujarat.

With this development, the total operational capacity of the project has increased to 68 MW out of the planned 100 MW, which is being implemented in a phased manner.

Project Financing and Execution

The wind power project has been financed by Power Finance Corporation, reflecting strong institutional support for ACME Solar’s expansion plans. Construction has been carried out through the company’s in-house engineering, procurement, and construction capabilities, showcasing its technical expertise in executing large-scale renewable projects.

The project uses SANY’s 4 MW wind turbines, known for efficiency and reliability, enabling optimal energy generation at the site.

Long-Term Power Purchase Agreement

Electricity generated from the Surendranagar project will be supplied under a 25-year power purchase agreement signed between ACME Eco Clean Energy and Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited.

The long-term contract ensures stable revenue visibility and supports Gujarat’s commitment to increasing the share of clean energy in its power mix. Such agreements play a crucial role in improving the financial viability of renewable energy investments.

Regulatory Oversight and Certification

The recent commissioning of the additional capacity was witnessed by officials from Gujarat Energy Development Agency and Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited. The commissioning minutes of meeting have been duly signed, and the formal certification is expected to be issued shortly.

This regulatory validation will enable the company to begin commercial operations and revenue recognition for the new capacity.
