Top Gainers of the Day: Bharti Airtel, ITC, Kotak Bank Leads On December 13, 2024

Both benchmark equity indices closed higher on the last trading day of the week. 

The 30-share Sensex, which had initially fallen, finished at 82,133.12, up 843.16 points or 1.04% from the previous close. It traded between 82,192.61 and 80,082.82 during the day. The NSE Nifty50 also ended higher, rising by 219.60 points or 0.89% to 24,768.30. The index reached a low of 24,180.80 and a high of 24,792.30.

Out of the 50 stocks in the Nifty50 index, here are the NSE top gainers for the day: 

• Bharti Airtel 

Bharti Airtel share price closed today at ₹1,682.00, marking a rise of 4.44%. It’s shares rose by 4% to ₹1,677.05 in Friday’s intra-day trade, reaching a seven-week high on the BSE. The stock was at its highest level since October 28. Its all-time high was ₹1,778.95 on September 29.

• ITC

ITC share price closed today at ₹2,504.00, marking a rise of 1.90%. Shares of FMCG companies saw a rebound on Friday, rising up to 5% from their intra-day lows due to value buying. ITC climbed to ₹474.35, recovering 5% from its low of ₹451.60. 

• Kotak Mahindra Bank

Kotak Mahindra Bank share price closed today at ₹1,804.90, marking a rise of 2.05%.

• Hindustan Unilever Ltd 

Hindustan Unilever Ltd share price closed today at ₹2,391.25, marking a rise of 1.97%.

• UltraTech Cement

UltraTech Cement share price closed today at ₹12,082.35, marking a rise of 1.9%.
