Top Gainers of the Day: Adani Ports, NTPC, Adani Enterprises Leads with Gain On December 03, 2024

Benchmark equity indices, the BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty50 continued their upward trend for the third straight day, closing in the green on Tuesday. The 30-share Sensex rose by 597.67 points, or 0.74%, ending at 80,845.75 after reaching a high of 80,949.10 during the day. Similarly, the NSE Nifty50 gained 181.10 points, or 0.75%, to finish at 24,457.15, with the index fluctuating between 24,481.35 and 24,280.00.

• Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone share price closed today at ₹1,287.00, marking a rise of 5.86%. The company reported handling 36 million metric tonnes (MMT) of cargo in November 2024, a 21% increase in the container segment. For the first eleven months of 2024, Adani Ports managed 293.7 MMT of cargo, marking a 7% growth compared to the same period last year. Additionally, its logistics rail volume rose by 10%.

NTPC share price closed today at ₹367.7, marking a rise of 2.65%.

• Adani Enterprises

Adani Enterprises share price closed today at ₹2,511.00, marking a rise of 2.2%.

• Axis Bank

Axis Bank share price closed today at ₹1,161.00, marking a rise of 2.1%. Axis Bank Ltd has risen by 3.05% over the past year, underperforming the NIFTY’s 18.09% increase and the Nifty Bank index’s 13.39% rise. The stock is up for the third consecutive session today.

• State Bank of India

State Bank of India share price closed today at ₹853.5, marking a rise of 2.04%.
