GIFT Nifty futures were trading flat with a slight negative trend at 24,989.5 around 7:30 AM. In the previous session, the Sensex gained 226 points (0.29%) to close at 78,699.07, while the Nifty50 added 63 points (0.27%) to settle at 23,813.40.

• Tata Motors

Tata Motors plans to launch passenger electric vehicles (EVs) with a range of at least 500 km on a single charge. This announcement was made by Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility.

• Reliance Industries

Reliance Industries has acquired the oncology-focused healthcare platform Karkinos for ₹375 crore, marking its foray into technology-driven healthcare solutions.

• Telecom Sector Updates

The Department of Telecommunications has removed the requirement for telecom operators to provide bank guarantees for spectrum auctions held before the reform package. Vodafone Idea stated this decision will boost 4G and 5G investments in India. Separately, Vodafone Group has paid ₹11,650 crore in dues raised against shares of Vodafone Idea.

• Zydus Wellness 

According to a notice from the tax authority, Zydus Wellness faces a GST demand of ₹56.33 crore, including interest and penalties.

• JSW Energy

In its largest acquisition to date, JSW Energy has signed a $1.47 billion deal to acquire O2 Power’s green energy platform, strengthening its renewable energy portfolio.

• NTPC

NTPC has partnered with US-based Clean Core Thorium Energy to develop advanced nuclear energy solutions under the Aneel initiative.
