Share Market Pre Open Updates – August 26, 2024

At the close of the trading session on August 23, 2024, the Nifty 50 and Sensex were up by 0.05% and 0.04% closing at 24,823.15 and 81,086.21, respectively.

Top Gainers and Losers

On the sectoral front, only Nifty Auto saw gains. On the other hand, Nifty Realty, Nifty Media, Nifty IT, and Nifty Oil and Gas declined. 

Bajaj Auto, Coal India, Bharti Airtel, and Tata Motors were the top gainers. LTI Mindtree, Wipro, ONGC, and Asian Paints were the top losers.

1. JSW Energy

A subsidiary of JSW Energy has secured a 300-MW solar project contract with Bangalore Electricity Supply Co. As a result, JSW Energy’s shares slipped 1.08% to ₹703. 

2. CDSL

Shares of CDSL rose over 7% to a record high of ₹1,664 due to its trading ex-date following the 1:1 bonus issue announced on July 2.
