Share Market Pre Open Updates – August 09, 2024

On August 08, 2024, the benchmark indices Nifty 50 was down 0.74% to close at 24,117, and Sensex was down 0.73% to close at 78,886.

Top Gainers and Losers

On the sectoral front, Nifty Mid Small Healthcare, Nifty Pharma, Nifty Media, and Nifty Financial Services gained, while Nifty IT, Nifty Metal, Nifty Oil and Gas, and Nifty Realty declined. Tata Motors, HDFC Life, SBI Life, and Cipla were the top gainers, which showed positive movement. On the other hand, LTI Mindtree, Grasim, Asian Paints, and Apollo Hospitals were the top losers of the day.

RVNL and MRF were in the news on August 8, 2024.

• During Q1 FY2025, RVNL recorded a 9% and 34.7% revenue and net profit fall, respectively, which resulted in a 5% drop in its shares.
• MRF’s net profit dropped 6% during Q1 FY2025. Despite this, the share price closed with a gain of 3.93%.
