
NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), subsidiary NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, has announced the commissioning of an additional 75.5 MW from its Khavda-I Solar PV Project in Gujarat. The move represents another milestone in India’s renewable energy expansion under the CPSU Scheme Phase-II Tranche-III.
The commercial operation of 75.5 MW solar capacity from the Khavda-I project effective 19 November 2025. The project is in Gujarat and forms part of a larger 1,255 MW renewable energy initiative. With this addition, NGEL has enhanced its overall operational capacity and further strengthened NTPC’s leadership in green energy development.
Following this commissioning, NGEL’s installed renewable capacity increased from 7,563.575 MW to 7,639.075 MW, supporting India’s clean energy transition agenda. The Khavda Solar Park remains one of the country’s most ambitious solar developments and aligns with NTPC’s target of achieving 60 GW of renewable capacity by 2032.
The commissioning also contributes to CPSU Scheme objectives for indigenous energy security and sustainable power infrastructure.

As of November 19, 2025, at 9:49 AM, the NTPC Green Energy share price is trading at ₹98.70 per share, reflecting a surge of 0.45% from the previous day's closing price.
The commissioning of 75.5 MW at the Khavda-I Solar PV Project is a timely boost to India’s renewable energy ambitions.
