As the festive season approaches, SpiceJet has announced special flights to enhance connectivity to Bihar and Ayodhya for Chhath Puja and Diwali. The move aims to make travel smoother and more convenient for passengers returning home during one of the busiest travel periods in India.

SpiceJet Brings New flights to Patna and Darbhanga

The airline has launched new flights to Patna from Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad, while also adding extra frequencies from Delhi and Mumbai. In addition, Darbhanga will now have more flight options, with additional services from both Delhi and Mumbai.

These new flights are in addition to SpiceJet’s existing routes connecting Patna with Delhi, Mumbai, and Guwahati, and Darbhanga with Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi. The enhanced services began operations from October 10, 2025, in a phased manner, aligning with the surge in festive travel demand.

The expanded network is designed to handle the sharp increase in travel expected during Diwali and Chhath Puja, two major festivals celebrated widely in Bihar and across India. The airline said the upgraded schedule offers passengers greater flexibility and convenience for their festive travel plans.

Special Diwali Flights to Ayodhya

Along with the Bihar routes, SpiceJet has also launched daily non-stop flights to Ayodhya from Delhi, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, and Hyderabad, starting October 8, 2025. These services provide seamless access for devotees and tourists visiting the Shri Ram Temple during the auspicious Diwali period.

Strengthening Regional Connectivity

With the new additions, SpiceJet continues to strengthen its domestic network, especially in regions that experience heavy festive travel. The airline aims to bridge long distances between major metros and key Tier-2 cities, making it easier for passengers to travel home for celebrations.

By adding flights to Patna, Darbhanga, and Ayodhya, the airline not only supports the surge in passenger demand but also helps bring families and communities closer together for the festivals of Diwali and Chhath Puja.
