The scholarship is open to Indian students from Class 9 up to postgraduate level, including those studying at IITs, IIMs, medical colleges, and other premier institutions.
It also extends to students aspiring to pursue higher education abroad, particularly SC/ST students undertaking master’s or doctoral programmes at globally reputed universities.
To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of 75% marks or 7.0 CGPA in the previous academic year.
- An annual family income of up to ₹3 lakh for school students and up to ₹6 lakh for college and postgraduate students.

The SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship 2025 provides comprehensive financial assistance covering tuition and related educational expenses.
- School students can receive up to ₹15,000 per year.
- Undergraduate, postgraduate, and international students may receive up to ₹20,00,000 per year, depending on the course and institution.
