PM-Kisan Scheme 24th Instalment: PM Modi to Release ₹18,680 Crore on October 30, 2026

More than ₹18,680 crore will be released under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme on October 30, 2026, covering over 9.34 crore farmer families across India.
The payment will be made during a programme in Bhildi town, in Gujarat’s Banaskantha district, Agriculture Minister Jitu Vaghani said on Wednesday, as per news reports.
The scheme provides eligible farmer families with ₹6,000 a year in three equal instalments. Before the upcoming payment, the government had disbursed more than ₹4.47 lakh crore through 23 instalments.
Gujarat Farmers to Receive ₹1,051 Crore
In Gujarat, more than 52.33 lakh farmer families will receive over ₹1,051 crore under the 24th instalment. Total payments to beneficiaries in the state have exceeded ₹24,137 crore, according to Vaghani.
The state will hold 34 district-level and more than 2,100 cluster-level events alongside the fund transfer. The main programme will be broadcast live, while approval letters for schemes run by the Agriculture and Horticulture departments will be distributed to beneficiaries.
Banas Dairy to Set Up Biogas Plants
Two compressed biogas (CBG) plants being developed by Banas Dairy will also be part of the programme. The facilities are planned in Tharad and Radhanpur. Tharad will have the capacity to process 75 tonnes of cattle dung daily, while Radhanpur will handle 100 tonnes a day.
Once operational, the two plants will take the number of Bio-CNG facilities under the Banas Model to six, with a combined cattle dung processing capacity of 515 tonnes daily.
The six plants are estimated to prevent 33,400 to 34,600 tonnes of carbon emissions annually. Banaskantha Dairy currently supplies around 6,100 kg of Bio-CNG daily at subsidised rates.
Research Centre and Dairy Facilities
The programme will include the inauguration of the Bharat Bovine Breeding and Research Centre, built at a cost of ₹328.77 crore.
Banas Dairy’s potato processing expansion and an automated storage and retrieval system at its ultra-high-temperature facility are also scheduled to be inaugurated.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Gujarat on October 30 and 31, 2026. His itinerary includes the National Unity Day celebrations at Ekta Nagar on October 31, 2026, marking the 151st birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
