Lado Lakshmi Yojana: Women to Receive ₹2,100 Monthly Starting September 25
In a major move aimed at women's welfare, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced that eligible women across the state will start receiving a monthly financial aid of ₹2,100 under the newly introduced Lado Lakshmi Yojana, starting September 25. The announcement followed a cabinet meeting chaired by the Chief Minister. The scheme is backed by a substantial ₹5,000 crore fund, already allocated in the previous state budget.
Who is Eligible for Lado Lakshmi Yojana?
- Unmarried and married women aged 23 years and above will be entitled to receive the benefit.
- Initially, the scheme will target women from families with an annual income below ₹1 lakh.
- A maximum of three women per household can avail of the benefit. However, there is no cap on the number of eligible families.
- Women currently receiving pensions under existing government schemes will not be eligible, except in special cases.
- Exception: Women suffering from serious illnesses will be allowed to receive support from both this scheme and any ongoing pension schemes.
How to Apply for Lado Lakshmi Yojana?
- An official notification and a dedicated mobile app for applications will be launched soon, as there is no official notification yet.
- Eligible women will receive SMS alerts, guiding them on how to apply through the app.
- Lists of eligible women will be displayed in every panchayat and ward, allowing for community review and objections, ensuring transparency in the selection process.
