As per news reports, the Haryana government will launch the Lado Lakshmi Yojana on September 25, 2025. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced the decision after a cabinet meeting. The scheme is set to be launched on September 25, which marks the birth anniversary of Deendayal Upadhyaya.
Under the scheme, all eligible women aged 23 years and above will receive ₹2,100 per month. Both married and unmarried women can apply. There is no limit on the number of beneficiaries in a household. If multiple women qualify in the same family, each will receive the aid separately.
To qualify, the beneficiary must be domiciled in Haryana. In the case of married women, their husbands should have been residents of the state for 15 years. In the first phase, the benefit will apply only to families with an annual income below ₹1 lakh.
Women who are already drawing pensions under existing state schemes will not be eligible under this programme. However, certain exceptions have been made. Patients of stage 3 and 4 cancer, haemophilia, thalassemia, sickle cell anaemia, and rare diseases listed by the government can continue receiving assistance under both this and their current pension schemes.

As per news reports, the government has estimated that around 19-20 lakh women will be covered under the first rollout. Over time, the scheme will be expanded in phases to include additional income groups. A fund allocation of ₹5,000 crore has already been provided in the state budget.
Unmarried women receiving benefits under this plan will be automatically moved to other schemes as they age. At 45 years, they will become eligible for the Widow and Destitute Women Financial Aid Scheme, and at 60 years, they will shift to the Old Age Honour Pension Scheme.
As per news reports, the state will issue a notification and launch a mobile application for registrations. Eligible women will also receive SMS alerts with instructions. Lists of beneficiaries will be displayed at the panchayat and ward level for public review.
Eligible women in Haryana will start receiving benefits from September 25 under the new scheme. Applications will be processed through a mobile app and verified locally.
