Under the guidelines for Jeevan Pramaan 2026, pensioners aged 80 years and above can start submitting their Digital Life Certificates from October 1, 2026.

This early submission window aims to facilitate a smoother process for these senior citizens by avoiding peak period congestion. Other pensioners may submit their certificates throughout November.

Submission Schedule for Digital Life Certificates

The Jeevan Pramaan initiative allows pensioners aged 80 and above to submit their Digital Life Certificate (DLC) starting October 1, 2026.

Meanwhile, the submission window for other eligible pensioners opens in November and lasts until November 30, 2026. This staggered scheduling is designed to ease the procedure for super senior citizens.

Methods for Submitting Digital Life Certificates

Jeevan Pramaan offers multiple methods for submitting Digital Life Certificates. The platform supports both biometric authentication using fingerprint or iris devices and face authentication via a compatible smartphone app.

Additionally, options such as doorstep banking services are available for those unable to access digital means.

Essential Requirements for DLC Submission

Pensioners are required to provide their Aadhaar number or Virtual ID, Pension Payment Order (PPO) number, and pension-disbursing agency details.

An active mobile number, registered with the pension-disbursing authority, is also necessary. Once successfully authenticated, the DLC is generated and sent electronically to the agency.

Additional Submission Options

While the Digital Life Certificate serves as an additional facility, traditional submission methods remain available.

Pensioners can visit a bank branch or seek assistance from designated agencies for submission. This ensures continued accessibility to pension payments irrespective of technological proficiency.

Conclusion

The 2026 Jeevan Pramaan protocol allows pensioners aged 80 and above to submit certificates from October 1, while others submit in November. Biometric, face authentication, and traditional methods ensure uninterrupted pension disbursements.
