Paytm Cloud Acquires 25% Stake in U.S.-Based Seven Technology for ₹8.7 Crore

Paytm Cloud, a wholly-owned subsidiary of One 97 Communications, has approved an investment of ₹8.7 crore (approximately $1 million) in Seven Technology. The strategic investment will see Paytm Cloud acquire a 25% stake in the company, according to a filing made by its parent, One 97 Communications, to the stock exchanges.
About Seven Technology
Seven Technology is the parent company of Dinie, a Brazil-based embedded finance startup that focuses on providing API-first solutions. Dinie’s primary goal is to offer digital financial services to micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) within the Brazilian e-commerce sector. Following this transaction, Seven Technology and Dinie will become associate entities of Paytm Cloud.
Investment Outlook
The investment is expected to strengthen Paytm Cloud’s understanding of the Brazilian market, specifically the landscape of merchants and the business opportunities available to MSMEs in the region. This move marks a key step in expanding the company’s international footprint and tapping into the growing digital finance space in Brazil.
Stock Performance
On February 03, 2025, Paytm share price traded 1.26% higher at ₹752.95 at 10:20 AM (IST). Paytm’s share price reached a 52-week high of ₹1,063 on December 17, 2024, and a 52-week low of ₹310 on May 09, 2025. As per BSE, the total traded volume for the stock stood at 2.77 lakh shares with a turnover of ₹16.72 crore.
At the current price, Paytm shares are trading at a price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio of -61.92x, based on its trailing 12-month earnings per share (EPS) of ₹-12.16, and a price-to-book (P/B) ratio of 3.74, according to exchange data.
