
On June 25, 2026, the SBI Mutual Fund filed a draft with SEBI for its new fund, the SBI Nifty Midcap 150 Momentum 50 ETF FOF.
This open-ended fund of funds scheme is designed to invest predominantly in the units of the SBI Nifty Midcap 150 Momentum 50 ETF, aiming to provide returns that closely mirror the performance of its underlying ETF.
The primary goal of the SBI Nifty Midcap 150 Momentum 50 ETF FOF is to offer returns that align with the performance of the SBI Nifty Midcap 150 Momentum 50 ETF.
The scheme mandates an asset allocation of 95% to 100% in the underlying ETF, with the remaining 0% to 5% allocated to government securities or liquid mutual fund units for liquidity management.
The fund's benchmark is the Nifty Midcap 150 Momentum 50 TRI. This index tracks the top 50 companies from the broader Nifty Midcap 150 universe, selected based on a quantitative "Normalized Momentum Score."
This score rewards high price returns over 6-month and 12-month periods, adjusting for stock volatility. The index undergoes systematic rebalancing twice a year, in June and December.
The fund offers both Regular and Direct plans, with Growth and Income Distribution cum capital withdrawal options. The minimum initial subscription is ₹5,000, with additional purchases requiring a minimum of ₹1,000.
An exit load of 1% applies if units are redeemed or switched out on or before 15 days from the date of unit allotment. There is no exit load for units held beyond 15 days.
