Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund has filed the draft Scheme Information Document for the Aditya Birla Sun Life Financial Services Sectoral Debt Fund.  

The proposed scheme is an open-ended debt fund under the Financial Services sectoral category. It carries relatively high interest rate risk and moderate credit risk.  

Investment Allocation 

The scheme will invest 80% to 100% of its assets in debt and money market instruments of the financial services sector. Instruments outside the sector can account for 0% to 10%, while government securities, cash and cash equivalents can make up 10% to 20%. InvIT units can account for up to 10%.  

The scheme can invest up to 5% of its net assets in mutual fund units and up to 5% in overseas securities. The draft also states that it seeks to invest $50 million in overseas securities.  

Investment Strategy 

The scheme will follow an active investment strategy, with a focus on shorter-duration financial services issuances. The investment manager will focus on investment-grade instruments from well-capitalised issuers in the sector.  

The scheme may also invest in money market instruments and use derivatives for hedging and portfolio balancing.  

Plans, Options and Exit Load 

The fund will offer Regular and Direct Plans, with Growth and IDCW options. The Growth Option will be the default option. The draft specifies nil exit load. The minimum application amount is ₹100, while the minimum redemption amount is ₹1.  

Benchmark and Fund Managers 

The scheme will be benchmarked against the CRISIL Financial Services Short Term Debt Index. Harshil Suvarnkar, Kaustubh Gupta, and Anuj Jain have been named as the designated fund managers.  

Filing Details 

Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC submitted its Due Diligence Certificate to SEBI on April 20, 2026. The NFO opening and closing dates have not been specified in the draft.
