Sustainable Wealth 50 Index Fund: Axis Max Life Launches—Know the Details

Axis Max Life Insurance Ltd, formerly known as Max Life Insurance Company Ltd, has introduced the Axis Max Life Sustainable Wealth 50 Index Fund. This new fund offers a tailored investment strategy aimed at sustainable wealth creation by targeting cash-flow-generating companies.

Fund Objective 

The Sustainable Wealth 50 Index Fund is designed to invest in 50 top-performing stocks selected through a proprietary, equal-weight, factor-based quantitative index. Stocks are identified from the NSE 500 universe based on the following criteria:

• Non-financial companies – Evaluated using Free Cash Flow Yield (FCF Yield).
• Financial companies – Evaluated based on Dividend Yield.

This approach ensures a focus on companies with strong fundamentals, robust cash flows, and growth potential.

Asset Allocation 

The fund follows a strategic asset allocation model:

• Equity Investments – 80–100% allocation.
• Cash and Money Market Instruments – 0–20% allocation.

Insights 

Sachin Bajaj, EVP and Chief Investment Officer at Axis Max Life, highlighted the fund’s reliance on a unique, factor-based index to identify companies with strong cash flow profiles. He emphasised that this strategy leverages Axis Max Life’s internal methodology to deliver long-term stability and growth.

Mukesh Agarwal, CEO of NSE Indices Limited, echoed this sentiment, stating that the index has been customised in collaboration with Axis Max Life Insurance to align with the fund’s sustainable investment philosophy.
