SIF AUM Surges 30% to ₹23,177 Crore in July 2026; Folios Near 1 Lakh

SIF AUM rose 30% to ₹23,177 crore in July, while folios reached 94,447, with Hybrid Long-Short Funds holding 66% of total assets.

Specialised Investment Funds (SIFs) had 94,447 folios at the end of July 2026, taking the total closer to the one-lakh mark, as per The CNBC TV18 news report citing ValueMetrics Mutual Fund & SIF Flow Meter report.  

The average folio size also increased to ₹24.5 lakh from ₹23.8 lakh in June 2026. 

Assets Rise in July 

SIF Assets Under Management (AUM) increased 30% month-on-month to ₹23,177 crore in July 2026 from ₹17,858 crore in June 2026. The category recorded inflows of ₹4,922 crore during the month, compared with ₹3,782 crore in June. 

Cumulative inflows into SIFs since October 2024 stood at ₹22,328 crore by the end of July. The figures covered 30 SIF schemes during the month. 

Hybrid Strategies Hold Majority 

Hybrid investment strategies accounted for ₹16,524 crore of SIF AUM in July, or 71% of the total. Hybrid Long-Short Funds formed the largest part of this category. 

AUM in Hybrid Long-Short Funds rose 29% to ₹15,374 crore from ₹11,910 crore in June. The strategy accounted for 66% of overall SIF assets, while its average folio size was ₹36.9 lakh. 

Equity AUM Up 32% 

Equity-oriented strategies recorded AUM of ₹6,654 crore in July, up 32% from ₹5,036 crore a month earlier. They accounted for 29% of total SIF AUM, with an average folio size of ₹14.4 lakh. 

The segment received ₹1,454 crore in July, compared with ₹1,097 crore in June. Its cumulative inflows since October 2024 reached ₹6,392 crore. 

Mutual Fund Activity 

Total mutual fund AUM stood at ₹85.8 lakh crore in July. Active equity funds recorded net inflows of ₹24,697 crore, while active equity and hybrid funds together received ₹36,188 crore. 

SIP contributions reached ₹31,961 crore. SIP AUM increased 2.8% month-on-month to ₹18.20 lakh crore, while outstanding SIP accounts rose to 10.63 crore.

Conclusion 

SIF assets and inflows increased in July, with hybrid strategies accounting for most of the category's AUM. Folios also moved closer to one lakh.
