
SBI Mutual Fund has increased its stake in Urban Company by acquiring an additional 4% using ₹632 crore. In contrast, existing stakeholders Wellington Management and DF International have exited their investments.
On March 17, 2026, SBI Mutual Fund purchased an additional 4% equity in Urban Company, the leading tech platform for home services, at ₹109.85 per share and ₹109.83 per share.
The transaction was valued at ₹632.2 crore and comes after the fund's previous 1.89% holding as of December 2025.
Urban Company's stock dropped by 2.76% to ₹110.11 despite active equity markets, reflecting the recent flurry of trading activity around its shares.
Simultaneously, Wellington Management Company and DF International Partners decided to divest their holdings in Urban Company.
DF International offloaded 1.76 crore shares (1.22% stake) at ₹109.85 each, generating ₹193.9 crore. Wellington Management, through its private equity vehicle Wellington Hadley Harbor AIV Master Investors (Cayman) III, sold 1.58 crore shares, equal to a 2.2% stake, for ₹349.2 crore at prices of ₹109.93 and ₹109.86 respectively.
ABG Capital, once holding a 1.36% stake, sold 1.74 crore shares for ₹191.2 crore. Meanwhile, Filatex Fashions shares closed unchanged at their all-time low of ₹0.17, following promoter Prabhat Sethia offloading shares.
Elsewhere, Sangam E-com invested in Akme Fintrade (India) by acquiring 39.6 lakh shares propelling the stock up by 3.93% on the NSE.
