NFO Alert: Edelweiss Mutual Fund Launches Edelweiss Nifty REITs & Realty Index Fund

Edelweiss Mutual Fund has opened subscriptions for its Edelweiss Nifty REITs & Realty Index Fund. The New Fund Offer (NFO) opened on 5 August and will close on 19 August 2026.
It is an open-ended index scheme under the Equity: Sectoral-Other category. The minimum investment amount has been set at ₹100. Investors can choose between the Growth and IDCW options.
Benchmark and Investment Approach
The scheme will track the Nifty REITs & Realty Total Return Index (TRI), which includes listed real estate companies and Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs).
The fund will follow a passive investment strategy by investing in the securities that form part of the benchmark index. Its objective is to generate returns that are in line with the index, subject to tracking error.
Fund Management and Risk Profile
The fund will be managed jointly by Bharat Lahoti and Manasi Jalgaonkar. As an index fund, portfolio changes will largely reflect revisions made to the benchmark index.
The scheme has been assigned a 'Very High' risk rating under the Riskometer, indicating that returns may be affected by movements in the real estate and REIT segments.
Other Features
The scheme does not have a lock-in period, allowing investors to redeem units without any mandatory holding requirement. No exit load will be charged on redemptions.
The benchmark used for performance comparison is the Nifty REITs & Realty Total Return Index, which captures both changes in stock prices and dividends distributed by the constituent companies.
