Flexi-Cap Mutual Funds See ₹49,915 Crore Inflows Between Jan-July 2026

Flexi-cap mutual funds have attracted ₹49,915 crore in seven months, The growth in investments is also showcased by the number of investors and the funds under management.
Near ₹50,000 Crore Inflow This Year
Between January and July, flexi-cap funds saw inflows of ₹49,915 crore this is around 27% more than the total net investment for the first seven months in 2025.
India received much of the funding between March and June quarters. The category attracted ₹24,651 crores in the March quarter and ₹20,555 crores in the June quarter.
In July, inflows were a bit more sluggish at ₹4,709 crore compared to June's ₹5,231 crore.
Investors Are Making More Investment In Flexi-Cap Funds
It has also seen a significant broadening of its investor base.
In July 2025, there were just 1.94 lakh flexi-cap fund folios but by July 2026, this number increased to around 2.44 lakhs. This is about 50 lakh folios higher YoY.
Over the same period, their assets under management (AUM) increased from ₹4.94 trillion as on 31 October, to about ₹6 trillion by Novemeber-end
Why Has There Been More Focus On Flexi-Cap Funds?
Fund managers in flexi-cap funds have the flexibility to buy and sell stocks across market capitalisation.
The funds have the flexibility to shift among large-cap, mid-cap or small-cap stocks depending on where the manager believes more opportunity lies.
Put simply, this lets investors avoid becoming self-picking one market-cap segment. The fund manager is capable of changing the composition whenever the market situation demands.

Flexi-cap funds were the largest recipients of flows from January to July 2026, attracting ₹49,915 crore versus ₹39,187 crore in the same period a year ago. As of July, their number of folios stood at 2.44 crore and assets under management (AUM) hovered around ₹6 trillion.
