
Abakkus Mutual Fund said its assets under management (AUM) rose above ₹5,000 crore, while the total number of investors crossed the 1 lakh mark, according to figures released by the fund house.
Data shared by the company showed total AUM at ₹5,482 crore as of May 8, 2026. The investor count stood at 1,00,702 across 2,001 locations and 9,573 PIN codes in the country.
The mutual fund company began operations in December 2025 with the launch of a flexi cap equity scheme. The New Fund Offer (NFO) of the scheme had collected ₹2,468 crore at the time of launch.
The fund house currently manages three schemes, including two equity funds in the flexi cap and small cap categories, along with a liquid fund.
Abakkus Mutual Fund is backed by Abakkus Asset Manager. The company said its investment process is based on internal research, portfolio discipline, and long-term investing principles.
According to the company, investors are spread across urban and smaller centres, with participation recorded from more than 9,500 PIN codes.
The fund house said its investment framework, referred to as MEETS, is used for stock selection and portfolio construction. It added that the process includes research-based analysis and risk management measures.
Chief Executive Officer Vaibhav Chugh said the increase in AUM and investor participation was indicative of wider engagement from investors and distribution partners.
Head of Investments and Research Sanjay Doshi said the investment approach remains focused on fundamentals, valuation and research processes.
The company said it plans to add more products and expand its distribution network while continuing with its current investment and portfolio management approach.
