Waaree Energies Share Price Surges as it Begins Operations at Solar Module Plant in Gujarat

Waaree Energies has started operations at its 1.80 GW solar module manufacturing facility in Gujarat. The plant is located in Degam village, Navsari district. The update was shared in a regulatory filing on July 31, 2025. This is one of the company’s newly built manufacturing lines.
Waaree Energies Q1FY26 Earnings Results
The company posted its financial results for the first quarter of FY26 earlier this week. Net profit rose to ₹745 crore, up 20.3% from ₹619 crore in the previous quarter. This is the consolidated figure reported for the April-June period.
EBITDA for Q1FY26 stood at ₹997 crore. In comparison, the company had reported ₹575 crore in EBITDA for Q4FY25. This translates to a 73.4% increase quarter-on-quarter.
The company reported an EBITDA margin of 22.5% for the June quarter. In the previous quarter, the margin was 14.3%. The improvement reflects changes in operational metrics and internal efficiencies.
Acquisition Earlier This Year
Waaree Energies completed the acquisition of Enel Green Power Development from EGPIPL on January 10, 2025. The acquisition was focused on the transformer segment. This unit will now function as a separate strategic business within the group.

No Change in Production Plans
Apart from the commissioning of the new plant, the company has not announced any revisions to its production or capacity expansion plans. The filing only mentioned the start of operations at the Gujarat unit.

As of 9:43 AM on August 1, 2025, Waaree Energies share price was trading at ₹3,042.50, a 1.67% increase.
Conclusion
Waaree Energies has brought a new solar module line online in Gujarat while reporting a rise in profit and margins for the June quarter. The transformer business acquisition was completed earlier in the year and will be managed separately going forward.
