Telecommunications Consultants India Limited (TCIL), a Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Communications, has entered a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Punjab National Bank (PNB), one of the country’s premier public sector banks.

The MoU, signed on 3rd September 2025, marks a significant step towards enhancing PNB’s IT infrastructure and fast-tracking its digital transformation, with a focus on delivering faster, more secure, and customer-centric banking services.

Through this collaboration, TCIL will offer its deep domain expertise in IT consultancy, project management, and the end-to-end execution of complex technology initiatives. The partnership is geared towards building a robust, secure, and regulation-compliant digital ecosystem that will fortify PNB’s operational capabilities, enhance resilience, and spur innovation in customer service delivery.

Scope of MoU

Key focus areas under the MoU include comprehensive support in RFP lifecycle management, system integration, IT infrastructure deployment, and implementation of technology solutions in adherence to regulatory frameworks. Depending on project scope and requirements, TCIL will operate as either the Project Management Consultant (PMC) or the Project Implementing Agency (PIA), ensuring alignment with PNB’s long-term technology roadmap and digital strategy.

This strategic alliance is expected to empower PNB to adopt cutting-edge technologies with greater agility, ensure compliance and security at scale, and deliver seamless, reliable, and digitally empowered experiences to its customers.

Management Take on MoU Signing

Sh. Sanjeev Kumar, CMD TCIL, stated: “This partnership with Punjab National Bank underscores TCIL’s role as a trusted technology partner to leading institutions. By combining our expertise in IT consultancy, procurement, and turnkey execution, we will help PNB advance its IT foundation and deliver greater value to its customers.”

Mr. Manish Agrawal, GM PNB, added: “This strategic partnership with TCIL represents a significant milestone in PNB's IT transformation journey. Leveraging TCIL's proven expertise in IT consultancy and project management, we are positioned to accelerate our technology modernisation and deliver innovative IT solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers across India. This collaboration will enable us to build a more resilient, secure, and customer-centric banking ecosystem.”
