On November 10, 2025, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd (TMPVL) announced that its demerged commercial vehicles (CV) business, now renamed Tata Motors Ltd (formerly TML Commercial Vehicles Ltd) will list on the stock exchanges on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, following approvals from both the BSE and NSE.
This listing marks the culmination of Tata Motors large-scale demerger, which created two independent listed entities, one focused on passenger vehicles (including electric vehicles and Jaguar Land Rover) and the other dedicated to commercial vehicles.
In a filing on Monday, TMPVL confirmed that it had received regulatory approval for the listing and trading of the new entity’s equity shares, effective November 12. As announced earlier, shareholders of Tata Motors received 1 share of the demerged CV entity for every 1 share held in the parent company as of the record date, October 14, 2025.
According to the listing notice, 368 crore equity shares with a face value of ₹2 each will be admitted for trading under the ticker symbol “TMCV.” The stock will initially trade in the trade-for-trade segment for the first 10 sessions, in line with standard norms for newly listed or relisted companies.

TMPVL itself was listed on October 14, opening at ₹400 per share after a pre-open price discovery session. Based on the pre-demerger closing price of ₹660.75, this implied a residual valuation of approximately ₹260 per share for the commercial vehicles business.
