
Suzlon Group has announced a leadership appointment as part of its efforts to strengthen international operations.
The renewable energy company has appointed Paulo Fernando Soares as President of its Europe business, with responsibilities centred on expanding regional presence and developing long-term market capabilities.
The move aligns with Suzlon’s broader global growth strategy.
Paulo Fernando Soares has joined Suzlon Group as President of its Europe business. He joins the company after serving as Managing Director at Sany Renewables in Europe.
Suzlon stated that the appointment is aimed at supporting the next phase of growth in the European market.
In his new role, Soares will lead Suzlon’s operations across Europe. His responsibilities include building regional capabilities, forming strategic partnerships, strengthening customer engagement, and improving market access across European countries.
He will also work on establishing a structured organisational framework to support long-term operations in the region.
Soares brings nearly four decades of experience in the wind energy sector, covering business development, sales, and operations.
He has also previously worked with Suzlon for five years, where he played a role in setting up the company’s Asian operations.
Suzlon stated that the appointment forms part of its Suzlon 2.0 strategy, which focuses on strengthening global leadership and expanding international business.
Europe remains a key market for wind energy development, and the company aims to improve its regional positioning through focused leadership.
Suzlon Group currently has over 21 GW of wind energy capacity installed across 17 countries. The company continues to develop its renewable energy footprint across domestic and international markets.
