Indian equity markets are expected to witness stock-specific action today as investors track quarterly earnings, corporate announcements, acquisitions, capital investments and major project developments. 

Several companies have reported strong financial performance, announced strategic investments or secured key business developments that could influence trading sentiment during today's session. 

HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd 

HDFC Life reported a healthy performance for the first quarter. New Business Premium increased 12% year-on-year to ₹8,143 crore, while Annual Premium Equivalent (APE) rose 9% to ₹3,515 crore. The company's Value of New Business (VNB) climbed 9% to ₹879 crore, although the VNB margin eased marginally to 25% from 25.1% a year earlier. 

Jana Small Finance Bank Ltd 

Jana Small Finance Bank reported a 52% increase in quarterly profit to ₹155 crore. Net interest income rose 33.4% to ₹782 crore, while asset quality improved with gross NPA declining to 2.39% and net NPA reducing to 0.91%. 

Ather Energy Ltd 

Ather Energy approved the allotment of 76.19 lakh convertible warrants to Hero MotoCorp through a preferential issue at ₹1,260 per warrant, aggregating ₹960 crore. The company has also launched its Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP), with a floor price of ₹1,169.70 per share. 

Adani Power Ltd 

Adani Power signed a 25-year Power Supply Agreement with Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company for the supply of 1,600 MW of electricity from a new ultra-supercritical thermal power plant. The project will be developed under the Design, Build, Finance, Own and Operate (DBFOO) model.

India Pesticides Ltd 

India Pesticides received Technical Equivalence approval from the European Union for one of its fungicide products. The approval is expected to strengthen the company's export business by expanding its access to European markets. 

NTPC Green Energy Ltd 

Ayana Renewable Power, a wholly owned subsidiary of ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited, emerged as the successful bidder for a 50 MW wind power project under Solar Energy Corporation of India's competitive bidding process. The project was secured at a tariff of ₹3.85 per kWh. 

TVS Holdings Ltd 

TVS Holdings' subsidiary, Home Credit India, signed a Share Purchase Agreement to acquire a 100% stake in Varthana Finance for ₹967 crore. The acquisition is expected to strengthen the company's presence in the lending business. 

Laser Power & Infra Ltd 

Laser Power & Infra is scheduled to make its debut on the SME platform today. Investors are expected to closely monitor the stock's listing performance and initial market response. 

State Bank of India 

State Bank of India announced the appointment of Sunil Ramgopal Agrawal as Chief Financial Officer (Designate) with effect from 15 July. He will assume the role of Chief Financial Officer from 1 August 2026. 

HDFC Bank Ltd 

The Reserve Bank of India approved the appointment of Rajiv Kumar as Part-Time Chairman of HDFC Bank for a period of three years with effect from 15 July 2026. Keki Mistry will continue as a Non-Executive, Non-Independent Director. 

Exide Industries Ltd 

Exide Industries invested ₹100 crore in its subsidiary, Exide Energy Solutions, through a rights issue. The company's cumulative investment in the subsidiary has now increased to ₹4,902.23 crore, supporting its lithium-ion cell manufacturing expansion plans. 

Conclusion 

Quarterly earnings, strategic acquisitions, renewable energy project wins, regulatory approvals and significant capital investments are likely to drive stock-specific movements in today's trading session.
