Star Air Relaunches Direct Flights Between Hyderabad, Jharsuguda and Bhubaneswar 6 Times a Week

Star Air has reintroduced its direct flight service connecting Hyderabad, Jharsuguda, and Bhubaneswar, operating 6 times a week to enhance the regional connectivity between these cities, as per the PTI news report.
Enhanced Regional Connectivity
The airline's renewed service serves to fortify its regional network by linking Hyderabad, a core technological and commercial hub, with Jharsuguda and Bhubaneswar, 2 significant centres in Odisha.
Jharsuguda is a key industrial location, while Bhubaneswar is known for its rapid development in business, infrastructure, and tourism.
Benefits to Business and Tourism
The reinstated flights are expected to benefit business travellers, industrial participants, tourists, and residents by facilitating easier access and supporting regional trade.
This will consequently reduce travel time between these key destinations and aid economic activities.
Strategic Importance of the Route
Captain Simran Singh Tiwana, CEO of Star Air, highlighted the strategic value of these flights as crucial links for commerce and opportunity between South and East India.
The restoration of these routes aims to enhance business connectivity, encourage new investments, and support vibrant regional industries and communities.
Participation in the UDAN Initiative
As a part of the Government of India’s UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik) initiative, Star Air has been increasing its footprint.
The airline has completed 7 years of operations, moving nearly 30 lakh passengers while maintaining a consistent schedule of 455 weekly flights, which will increase to 550 in the summer.

By facilitating quicker business links and encouraging tourism, the airline plays a pivotal role in connecting significant economic regions in the country.
