SpiceJet has signed lease agreements for eight additional Boeing 737 aircraft, further boosting its fleet as it prepares for the Winter Schedule 2025. With this move, the airline’s planned fleet additions now total 18 aircraft, enabling it to better serve the growing passenger demand expected during the festive and winter travel season.
This announcement follows two earlier lease agreements for the induction of 10 Boeing 737 aircraft, which are scheduled to join the fleet starting October 2025. The new inductions reflect SpiceJet’s strategy to expand operational capacity, enhance connectivity, and improve schedule reliability.
With domestic air travel demand continuing to rise, particularly during peak festive and holiday periods, SpiceJet’s fleet expansion is expected to improve passenger convenience while strengthening its market position in India’s competitive aviation sector.

These additions reaffirm our commitment to expanding capacity, ensuring seamless connectivity, and offering a superior flying experience to our passengers. With the upcoming festive and winter travel season, these aircraft will allow us to enhance frequencies on key routes and cater to the growing passenger demand.”
