Railway PSU stocks such as Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL), IRCON International, Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC), RITES, and BEML have been actively drawing investor attention with strong order wins and project updates.
On Thursday, RVNL’s share price saw an uptick in morning trade after announcing a major order win from West Central Railway, further boosting optimism around railway sector growth.
RVNL said on September 10, 2025, that it has emerged as the Lowest Bidder (L1) for a West Central Railway project. The contract involves design, modification, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of a 220/132kV/2X25 kV Scott-connected traction substation and switching posts with SCADA work in the Bina–RTA section of Bhopal Division. The project is aligned with the target of handling 3,000 MT of loading.
The order is valued at ₹169.5 crore (including taxes) and must be executed within 540 days. This win adds to RVNL’s growing order book, reflecting its strong position among railway PSUs.
As of 11 September 2025, 11:02 AM IST, Rail Vikas Nigam share price (NSE: RVNL) were trading at ₹335.20, up 0.52% or ₹1.75 from the previous close. The stock opened at ₹337.80 and touched an intraday high of ₹337.90 and a low of ₹331.60 so far in the session.
RVNL has a market capitalisation of around ₹69,890 crore, with a P/E ratio of 58.52 and a dividend yield of 0.51%. Over the past year, the stock has traded between a 52-week high of ₹567.80 and a 52-week low of ₹301.60, showing significant volatility.
