Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), a public sector railway company, has announced that it received a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from IRCON International Limited for a new project worth ₹178.64 crore. The project involves major signalling and telecommunications work and is to be completed within 11 months.

What is the Scope of RVNL’s New Project?

This includes Surakachhar, Block Cabin, Katghora Road, Bhingra, Putuwa, Matin, Sendurgarh, Putipakhana, and Dhangawan, among others.

In addition, 6 new intermediate block signalling (IBS) systems will be installed between Bhingra and Pendra Road to enhance train operations and safety.

  • Installing electronic in-motion weighbridges (EIMWB)
  • Building a new section control system with modern train communication tools
  • A new telephone exchange for smoother communication
  • Alteration and upgrade of existing systems at Kusmunda Block Station yard and SECL Silo Siding East Cabin

The entire project cost includes all transportation, insurance, taxes, and duties.
