
Reliance Consumer Products Limited has entered the domestic pet-care segment with the introduction of Waggies. The brand focuses on providing high-quality, research-supported nutrition while keeping affordability at the centre of its offering to reach a wider base of pet owners.
The company stated that Waggies is developed using research-driven formulations enhanced with herbs, DHA for brain development, essential vitamins, and highly digestible ingredients to promote overall health and energy.
As per the news reports, Ketan Mody, Executive Director of Reliance Consumer Products Limited, said, “Waggies is formulated to deliver superior value, balancing enhanced nutrition with affordability. It comes with key benefits of extra protein, prebiotics for digestive support, and provides balanced all-day energy along with joint, skin, and coat health.”
Prices for the product begin at ₹199 per kg, with 100g trial packs available at ₹20, while the premium Waggies Pro line starts at ₹249.
The launch aligns with India’s expanding pet-care industry. A Redseer Strategy Consultants report projected growth from $3.5 billion to $7 billion by 2028, supported by increasing pet ownership. The number of pets in Indian households rose from 26 million in 2019 to 32 million in 2024, alongside growing interest in premium and subscription-based pet-care products.
