NeoSky India Limited, a 100% subsidiary of RattanIndia Enterprises Ltd (REL) (NSE: RTNINDIA), is bolstering its footprint in India’s security landscape with notable drone deployments in Karnataka.

The company has recently supplied advanced drones to the Kalaburagi district administration and is gearing up to deliver an additional 60 Tavas drones to the Karnataka Police. Tavas is a foldable drone featuring swappable payloads and six-sided obstacle avoidance powered by LiDAR technology, ideal for tactical surveillance and public safety.

Advanced Surveillance Drones Introduced

At an event held on July 24, 2025, at the Vidhana Soudha, in the presence of the Honourable Home Minister of Karnataka, Shri Gangadharaiah Parameshwara, NeoSky officially handed over two types of surveillance drones—Nimble-I and NS01. Nimble-I offers AI-enabled day and night surveillance and modular payload support, while NS01 is a lightweight (550 grams) micro drone equipped with a day camera. These drones are expected to play a critical role in monitoring, rapid response, and intelligence gathering.

Collaborations and Skilling Initiatives

NeoSky is actively working with the Indian armed forces, paramilitary agencies, and state police forces to enhance national security infrastructure. The company also leads in drone training and R&D, holding a DIPP license to manufacture defence drones and a 10-year DGCA license to train drone pilots. Currently, it is training 500 students from agricultural universities and expanding its skilling programs to schools, colleges, rural communities, and even international learners.

Shri Gangadharaiah Parameshwara, Honourable Home Minister of Karnataka, said, “Our vision is to equip every police station in the State with drones. These drones will enhance the agility and responsiveness of our forces. Their indigenous design reflects how local innovation can serve public interest”
