On September 17, 2025, Premier Explosives share price surged as much as 11% to ₹605 before settling 5% higher at around ₹575. The Sensex, in comparison, was up just 0.3%.

Why Did the Premier Explosives Rise?

The Telangana Pollution Control Board (TGPCB) revoked the closure order on the company’s Katepally factory, which was shut following an accident in April 2025. Production has now resumed.

In an exchange filing, Premier Explosives confirmed that TGPCB has allowed it to restart operations, provided it complies with all safety and environmental conditions.

  • Q1FY26 net profit jumped 110% YoY to ₹15.35 crore.
  • Revenue grew 71.6% YoY to ₹142.15 crore.
  • EBITDA stood at ₹20.9 crore vs ₹15 crore last year, though margins fell from 18.5% to 14.7%.
  • The board also approved a fundraising of up to ₹300 crore via equity or other securities.

Premier Explosives manufactures industrial and defence-grade explosives, detonators, and missile components. It supplies to ISRO, DRDO, and defence programs such as Akash, Astra, and LRSAM.

Premier Explosives share price (NSE: PREMEXPLN) was trading at ₹577.30, up 5.61% on September 17, 2025, at 11:14 am IST. The stock opened at ₹555.05 and touched a high of ₹605.00 during the session. With a market capitalisation of ₹3,110 crore, the company trades at a P/E ratio of 84.57 and offers a modest dividend yield of 0.087%, with a quarterly dividend payout of ₹0.126 per share.
