Premier Energies, a leading solar manufacturer in India, has started commercial production at its new 1.2 GW N-type solar cell line. The company also launched new high-efficiency 620W TOPCon solar modules that are compliant with domestic content requirements (DCR) and designed for large-scale and rooftop solar projects.
The newly launched G12R TOPCon modules deliver high energy output, particularly suited for space-limited rooftops and ground-mounted systems. Their TOPCon architecture offers superior efficiency compared with PERC technology, while the rectangular G12R format enables higher string power and reduced balance-of-system costs.
Designed to withstand Indian climatic conditions such as heat, dust, and humidity, these modules also improve performance in low-light environments. With their enhanced efficiency and durability, they help lower the Levelised Cost of Energy (LCOE) for investors and developers.
As per news reports, commenting on the launch, Chiranjeev Saluja, MD & CEO of Premier Energies, said: “The launch of our 620 W DCR TOPCon modules marks a significant step forward for India’s solar sector.”
Premier Energies, with its three decades of experience in the solar industry, is one of the first domestic companies to introduce this technology in India. By offering these advanced solar solutions, the company aims to boost customer returns and support India's Make in India and renewable energy goals. Premier Energies has quickly grown to become one of the top three solar manufacturers and one of the largest solar cell producers in the country.
