The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) has announced the exclusion of futures and options contracts on Exide Industries Limited and Nuvama Wealth Management Limited.
This decision aligns with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) guidelines on stock eligibility.
According to the circular issued by NSE on May 22, 2026, new futures and options contracts will not be introduced for Exide Industries Limited and Nuvama Wealth Management Limited after the expiry of existing contract months.
The existing unexpired contracts for May, June, and July 2026 will remain available for trading until their respective expiry dates. New strikes will also be introduced in these existing contract months.
This move follows SEBI's circular dated August 30, 2024, which outlines the eligibility criteria for stocks in the futures and options segment.
The exclusion will take effect from July 29, 2026, after which no contracts will be available for trading in these securities.
The exclusion of these contracts means that traders and investors will need to adjust their strategies accordingly.
Those holding positions in the existing contracts can continue trading until the contracts expire. However, they should be aware that no new contracts will be introduced for these securities beyond the specified expiry months.
For further information or queries, members can contact the NSE via the toll-free number 1800-266-0050 (Option 1) or email at msm@nse.co.in. Khushal Shah, Associate Vice President of NSE, is the point of contact for this announcement.
