Nifty, Sensex See Midday Dip on November 4 as Sectoral Indices Tumble

On November 4, 2024, India’s benchmark indices opening displayed a mixed opening. Nifty 50 opened at 24,315.75 up from its previous close (October 31, 2024) of 24,205.35, while Sensex opened at 79,713.14, down from its previous close at 79,389.06.
At 12:47 PM, Nifty 50 dropped 1.76% to 23,877.00 while Sensex fell by 1.59% to 78,458.71. 44 out of 50 stocks on Nifty 50 were trading in the red. Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto and Grasim Industries were trading in the red. However, stocks like Tech Mahindra, Cipla and Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) were trading in green.
Sectoral Indices Performance
Around 12:51 PM, none of the sectoral indices were in green. Nifty Oil & Gas, Nifty Realty, Nifty Media, Nifty Metal and Nifty PSU Bank were leading the losses. Each sectoral index was down by more than 2%. Nifty Oil & Gas was the biggest loser, down by 3.14%, followed by Nifty Realty, which declined by 2.90%.
