Nifty 50 Index Trades Near 24,600 Today, August 10, 2026: Titan Leads Gains

The Nifty 50 traded slightly higher on Monday, August 10, 2026, as gains in several heavyweight stocks helped the index stay above the 24,500 level. At around 12:08 PM, the index was at 24,590.80, up 20.15 points or 0.08% from the previous close of 24,570.65.
The index opened at 24,581.25 and moved between an intraday low of 24,511.10 and a high of 24,620.95.
Nifty 50 Performance
The Nifty 50 had a mixed performance across different time periods. The index was down 0.74% over one week, while it gained 1.59% over 1 month and 1.72% over 3 months.
Over a longer period, the index declined by 5.18% in 6 months and 5.95% year-to-date. However, it gained 0.93% over one year, while its 3-year and 5-year returns stood at 25.83% and 51.05%, respectively. The index had a P/E ratio of 20.87 and a P/B ratio of 3.01. Its 52-week range stood between 22,182.55 and 26,373.20.
Top Nifty 50 Gainers
Several major stocks traded higher during the session. Titan was the top gainer, rising 2.79% to ₹5,079. Tata Steel gained 2.06% to ₹191.41, while Grasim advanced 1.88% to ₹3,385.50.
Tata Consumer Products rose 1.50% to ₹1,098.50, and Bajaj Finserv gained 1.25% to ₹2,034. Other notable gainers included Trent, Shriram Finance, Max Healthcare, Bajaj Finance and Infosys.
Top Nifty 50 Losers
On the other hand, State Bank of India (SBI) was among the biggest laggards, falling 1.75% to ₹1,078. Hindalco Industries declined 1.44% to ₹1,044.30.
NTPC fell 0.77%, while ITC declined 0.84%. Adani Enterprises and Adani Ports also traded lower, falling 0.74% and 0.81%, respectively. Other stocks under pressure included Reliance Industries, Bharti Airtel, Nestlé India, Wipro, Power Grid Corporation and Dr Reddy's Laboratories.
Nifty 50 Market Breadth
Market breadth remained positive among Nifty 50 constituents, with 30 stocks advancing and 20 declining at the time of the data.
Among the index's major constituents by weight, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Infosys and Larsen & Toubro traded higher, while Reliance Industries, Bharti Airtel and SBI were under pressure.
Nifty 50 Sector Representation
Financial Services has the largest representation in the Nifty 50, accounting for 36.18% of the index. Oil, Gas & Consumable Fuels followed with 9.65%, while Information Technology accounted for 8.37%.
Automobile and Auto Components had a 7.13% weight, followed by Fast Moving Consumer Goods at 5.70% and Telecommunications at 5.37%.
Other represented sectors include Healthcare, Metals & Mining, Construction, Consumer Durables, Consumer Services, Power and Construction Materials.
Top Constituents by Weight
The largest constituent of the Nifty 50 by weight was HDFC Bank at 10.27%, followed by ICICI Bank at 9.22% and Reliance Industries at 7.92%.
Bharti Airtel had a 5.37% weight, while Larsen & Toubro accounted for 4.13%. State Bank of India, Infosys, Axis Bank, Bajaj Finance and Mahindra & Mahindra were among the other top constituents.
