SBI Mutual Fund has launched the SBI Nifty Midcap 150 Momentum 50 ETF Fund of Fund (FoF), with the New Fund Offer (NFO) opening for subscription on 22 July 2026.
The offer will remain open until 4 August 2026. The scheme is an open-ended fund of fund under the equity thematic – factor-based category.
Unlike a conventional equity mutual fund, the scheme will not invest directly in shares. Instead, it will invest in units of the SBI Nifty Midcap 150 Momentum 50 ETF, providing exposure to a portfolio linked to the Nifty Midcap 150 Momentum 50 Index.
The investment objective of the scheme is to generate returns that correspond closely to those of the underlying ETF, subject to tracking difference.
As a fund of fund, its performance will primarily depend on the returns of the SBI Nifty Midcap 150 Momentum 50 ETF rather than direct stock selection by the fund manager.
The scheme will track the NIFTY Midcap 150 Momentum 50 Total Return Index (TRI) as its benchmark.
The index comprises 50 stocks selected from the Nifty Midcap 150 universe using momentum as the primary factor and is reviewed periodically in line with index methodology.
The minimum application amount during the NFO is ₹5,000. Investors can choose between Growth and IDCW (Income Distribution cum Capital Withdrawal) options. The scheme does not have a lock-in period.
An exit load of 1% will be charged if units are redeemed within 15 days from the date of allotment. No exit load will apply after the specified period. The scheme has been assigned a 'Very High' risk rating under the Riskometer.
The scheme will be managed by Viral Chhadva and offered by SBI Mutual Fund. As with other fund of fund schemes, investments will be routed through the underlying ETF instead of being deployed directly into equity securities.
