MapmyIndia (C.E. Info Systems Ltd.) has taken a major leap in India’s digital infrastructure roadmap after being awarded a national-level project by the Survey of India, marking a milestone for the company and the country’s geospatial ecosystem.

National Geo-Spatial Initiative to Transform Digital Mapping

The Survey of India has awarded MapmyIndia the mandate to design and build a first-of-its-kind National Geo-Spatial Platform. The platform will act as a unified digital system for accurate and authentic geospatial data across India, enabling data aggregation, harmonisation and dissemination at scale.

The initiative is structured to support governance, research, industries and citizen-facing digital applications, and will be built using technology indigenously developed by MapmyIndia.

Large-Scale Public Utility Focused on Innovation

This platform aims to simplify how foundational geospatial information is accessed and used nationwide. With credible digital infrastructure at its core, the initiative aims to enhance decision-making across public sector projects, unlock innovation for private enterprises, and create smoother data accessibility for citizens and researchers.

While commercial details and execution timelines are not disclosed, the project categorisation confirms it as a domestic government order.
