OpenAI has announced the rollout of ChatGPT Go in India, a new affordable subscription plan priced at ₹399 per month, offering Indian users access to premium features, including GPT-5, enhanced memory, and higher usage limits.
The ChatGPT Go plan is designed to offer a significant upgrade over the free version of ChatGPT. Subscribers will enjoy 10x higher message limits, 10x more image generations, 10x more file uploads and 2x longer memory. These enhancements make it suitable for users requiring extended AI assistance across personal, educational and professional tasks.
One of the main attractions of the Go plan is access to GPT-5, OpenAI’s top-tier language model. Users can generate longer, more contextual replies and leverage better comprehension. The plan also enhances interaction with uploads like spreadsheets and PDFs, allowing more seamless file-based analysis.
OpenAI is also offering functionality that lets users build and manage projects, create tasks, and utilise Custom GPTs. These tools help organise workflows, track progress and craft tailored AI experiences for varied needs.

Specifically rolled out for the Indian market, the ChatGPT Go plan supports Indian rupee billing and UPI payments, making subscriptions simple and accessible. OpenAI has clearly aimed to cater to local user demands by focusing on convenience and affordability.
While the Go plan costs ₹399 per month, the more advanced ChatGPT Plus is priced at ₹1,999 per month. Plus includes extras like GPT-4o, research tools, video generation via Sora and agent mode capabilities, whereas Go is focused on core utility with extended access.
OpenAI’s introduction of ChatGPT Go offers an economical yet feature-rich solution for Indian users seeking AI tools beyond the basics. With significant enhancements like GPT-5 access and expanded memory, the plan is tailored for daily users demanding more from AI at a lower cost.
