Lemon Tree Hotels Limited has expanded its footprint in Uttar Pradesh with the launch of Lemon Tree Hotel in Chandausi, marking its 8th operational property in the state. Managed under its wholly owned subsidiary Carnation Hotels Private Limited, this development reinforces the company’s strategy of growing its midscale-to-upscale hospitality presence across tiered cities in India.
The new Lemon Tree Hotel in Chandausi features 61 rooms and suites, although this is a revised count from the 70 rooms previously disclosed to the stock exchange on 4 November 2022. The launch will occur in 2 distinct phases.
Phase I, which has officially commenced, includes 31 well-appointed rooms, the opening of the Citrus Café, a multi-cuisine restaurant and expansive banquet spaces.
Phase II, expected to launch shortly, will see the addition of 30 more rooms and suites along with premium amenities such as the Republic of Noodles (a pan-Asian restaurant), Pool Bar & Grill, a fitness centre, a swimming pool, and the remaining banquet facilities.
Chandausi, nestled in the Sambhal district, offers both connectivity and charm. The city’s name derives from "Chanda Si", meaning "moon-like", and it is strategically situated on the railway route linking Moradabad, Bareilly, and Delhi, making it a key junction for regional travellers.
Commenting on the launch, Mr Vishvapreet Singh Cheema remarked, “We are pleased to announce the furthering of our footprint in Uttar Pradesh with the launch of a new property in Chandausi. This aligns with our vision of establishing a presence across India in cities across all tiers to become the most preferred hospitality chain in the country.”
Lemon Tree Hotels Limited (LTHL), among India’s largest hotel chains, operates across upscale to economy segments through 7 brands, including Aurika Hotels & Resorts, Lemon Tree Premier, and Red Fox Hotels. Since its first property in 2004 with just 49 rooms, LTHL now boasts a portfolio exceeding 230 hotels, with over 110 operational and an additional 110-plus in the pipeline.
