Details of the Payout Increase in Majhi Ladki Bhain Yojana

However, during his swearing-in address, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced an increase in the payout to ₹2,100, starting from the next financial year. This additional ₹600 per month is expected to provide substantial support to over 24 million women beneficiaries of the scheme.
Majhi Ladki Bhain Yojana: Know the Eligibility Criteria
The CM also highlighted that the Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana beneficiary list will be scrutinised to ensure that only eligible women will benefit. So it is essential for beneficiaries to re-check their eligibility to ensure continued support.
Here’s the eligibility criteria:
- Check Gender and Age: Only females between the ages of 21 and 65 are eligible.
- Confirm Residency: Verify that you are a resident of Maharashtra.
- Aadhaar-Linked Bank Account: Ensure your bank account is linked to your Aadhaar.
- Family Income: Check that the combined annual income of your family does not exceed ₹2,50,000.
- Eligibility Based on Family Status: Verify that you fall under one of the following categories:
- Married Woman
- Widowed
- Divorced Woman
- Abandoned and Destitute Woman
- One Unmarried Woman in the family
