
The Karnataka government has announced ₹2,600 crore worth of investment commitments from companies working in electronics, EV parts, clean technologies, biotech and drones, as per the news reports.
The agreements were signed during the Bengaluru Tech Summit 2025. All projects are located outside Bengaluru and together are expected to create around 3,500 jobs.
Two electronics projects are planned in Tumakuru district. Global HDI will set up a high-density PCB production unit on 84 acres, with an investment of ₹1,500 crore. The facility will make circuit boards used in telecom, automobiles and consumer electronics and is expected to employ about 1,000 people.
Another facility, planned by Elleve Solutions, will take up 30 acres and involves an investment of ₹250 crore. This plant is estimated to create 300-400 jobs and will work on PCB and electronics manufacturing services.
In Dharwad, Tsuyo Manufacturing plans to set up an EV powertrain unit, investing ₹250 crore. The company supplies EV components to vehicle makers and expects about 700 jobs from the new facility. In Gauribidanur, MiniMines Cleantech Solutions will put in ₹350 crore to build a critical mineral refining complexfocused on battery materials. The company estimates around 600 jobs through this project.
EyeStem Research will invest ₹130 crore to set up a cell therapy research and manufacturing centre. The company works on treatments for eye diseases, including Dry AMD, using cell-based therapies.
A separate LoI has been signed with the Drone Federation of India to build a drone testing facility in Chintamani. The project will occupy 20 acres, with an expected investment between ₹25 crore and ₹100 crore, and is likely to support 500-600 jobs.
The government also shared details of the ₹1,000-crore Local Economy Accelerator Programme (LEAP). Two schemes under it, Elevate Next and Elevate Beyond Bengaluru, will offer grants of ₹50 lakh to ₹1 crore to start-ups in deep-tech and other sectors in smaller cities.
