Amid rising cost pressures across the automotive sector, JSW MG Motor India has moved to revise pricing while continuing to recalibrate its product portfolio across both conventional and electric segments, as per news reports.
The company has announced a price increase of up to 2% across its vehicle range, effective April 1.
The revision is aimed at partially absorbing sustained increases in input costs. Notably, vehicles sold under the MG Select premium channel will remain outside the scope of this hike.
JSW MG Motor maintains a dual strategy across internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicles.
Its ICE lineup currently includes the MG Astor and MG Hector, while its EV portfolio spans models such as the MG Comet, MG ZS, and MG Windsor. In the premium segment, Cyberster and M9 are offered through MG Select outlets.
As part of ongoing portfolio adjustments, the company has discontinued the Gloster from its ICE range.
At the same time, it is preparing to introduce a new offering, the Majestor, later this month, signalling continued focus on refreshing its lineup.
The pricing action mirrors a broader industry trend, with multiple automakers announcing revisions
Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles has indicated a weighted average increase of 0.5% on its ICE vehicles, while luxury carmakers including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Audi are implementing hikes of up to 2% from April 1.
The company has advised customers to connect with authorised dealerships or refer to official platforms for model-specific pricing updates following the revision.
