JioHotstar Expands to UK, Canada and Singapore With 160,000 Hours of Content

JioHotstar is taking its streaming service beyond India, with the UK, Canada and Singapore becoming its first international markets in this expansion. The platform is positioning the move around Indian entertainment and the strong connection of South Asian audiences with content from the region.
The service will be available on mobile devices and connected TVs, with its app accessible through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
160,000 Hours of Content Across Languages
The international catalogue will feature more than 160,000 hours of content in over 12 languages. Films, television, regional programmes, non-fiction, kids' content and anime will form part of the offering.
JioHotstar also plans to add more than 30,000 hours of fresh content every year. Personalised recommendations, interactive features and flexible subscription options will be part of the streaming experience.
Subscription Plans Across Three Markets
In the UK, JioHotstar will cost £19.99 quarterly or £69.99 annually. Canadian users will pay C$19.99 quarterly and C$49.99 annually.
For viewers in Singapore, the pricing is set at S$29.98 quarterly and S$69.98 annually.
