Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, marking the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad, is being observed across India today. Many investors wondered if the stock market would be shut.

As per the NSE and BSE holiday calendar, both exchanges are open for regular trading on Friday, September 5. This means today is not a trading holiday.

Upcoming Stock Market Holidays in 2025

In September, there are no official market holidays apart from weekends. The next set of holidays will come in October:

  • Oct 2 (Thursday) – Gandhi Jayanti / Dussehra
  • Oct 21 (Tuesday) – Diwali Laxmi Pujan
  • Oct 22 (Wednesday) – Balipratipada
