Infosys Approves September Quarter Bonus Payouts; Average Bonus Set at 75%, with a Maximum of 83%

Infosys has issued performance-linked bonus letters for the September quarter. The payouts cover employees at PL4, PL5, and PL6, as per the news reports. These include engineering, team-level, and managerial roles. The company said the figures were based on performance ratings given for the quarter. 

Breakdown of Payout Percentages 

At PL4, employees with an outstanding rating will receive an 83% payout. Those rated commendable are at 78.5%, and the met expectations group will get 75%. At PL5, the outstanding payout is 81% and the met-expectations payout is 72%. PL6 employees will receive 79% for outstanding and 70.5% for meeting expectations. 

How This Compares with Last Quarter 

Employees said the September-quarter payouts are lower by about 5-7% compared with April-June. In the previous cycle, the company paid an average of 80%, with payouts ranging between 75% and 89%. For the current quarter, the internal note stated that the average payout stands at 75%. 

Who Qualified for the Payout 

The company extended bonuses to staff in the three levels that make up a large share of Infosys’ workforce of around 323,000 employees. All eligible ratings, outstanding, commendable, met expectations and those in the non-applicable category were included in the payout cycle. Delivery managers were notified separately about the allocation details. 

Infosys Q2 FY26 Earnings Results 

Infosys reported consolidated net profit of ₹7,364 crore for the September quarter, up 13% year-on-year. Revenue from operations rose 8.5% to ₹44,490 crore. Earlier, the company also set 14 November 2025 as the record date for its ₹18,000 crore share buyback.  

Update on Internal Reorganisation 

Infosys Nova Holdings LLC has approved the transfer of 90% of Infosys Limited’s shareholding in Infosys Consulting S R L, Argentina. As of 31 March 2025, the unit reported revenue of $3.6 million and a net worth of –$2.0 million. The transfer is expected to be completed by 29 January 2026.

Infosys Share Price Performance 

As of November 17, 2025, 9:59 AM, Infosys share price is trading at ₹1,499, a 0.25% down from the previous closing price. 

Conclusion 

The bonus numbers for the September quarter show a lower average than Q1, with payouts ranging from 70.5% to 83% across performance ratings and job levels.
