Indraprastha Gas Forms 50:50 JV with CEID for Biofuel Projects

Indraprastha Gas Ltd (IGL) has entered a joint venture with CEID Consultants & Engineering Private Ltd to set up projects in compressed biogas (CBG) and compressed biofuel. The signing took place on November 25, 2025, as per stock exchange filing. The new entity will handle the development and running of these plants. 

How is the Joint Venture Structured? 

Both IGL and CEID will hold an equal share in the company, with a 50:50 ownership. The board will start with 4 directors, split evenly between the 2 companies. The filing also states that this deal is not a related-party transaction and does not come with any special rights or restrictions beyond the equal shareholding. There are no promoter group links between the two companies.

The agreement covers the creation of facilities that will produce fuel from organic waste. These units will generate gas that can be supplied for transport or industrial consumption.
